KOWALCZYK TO OVERSEE NATIONAL RETAIL REAL ESTATE COMPANY’S ENTIRE ACCOUNTING AND FINANCIAL REPORTING OPERATIONS
NORTHBROOK, Ill. (January 24, 2022) – Pine Tree announced that industry veteran Sara Kowalczyk has joined the company as Senior Director of Accounting & Financial Reporting. With more than 12 years of industry experience, Kowalczyk will lead Pine Tree’s corporate- and fund-level accounting and reporting functions, as well as provide property accounting oversight for the company’s portfolio of nearly $3.5 billion in institutional retail assets across the United States.

Before joining Pine Tree, Kowalczyk was Senior Vice President of Accounting and Finance at CA Residential, CA Ventures’ residential arm. There she oversaw the company’s corporate and property accounting teams while being responsible for the company’s financial functions including accounting, internal and external reporting, and financial planning and analysis. Before joining CA Ventures, Sara served as an audit senior manager at KPMG where she worked on a multinational public real estate company and various REITs in the senior housing, hospitality, office, and industrial sectors.
Committed to giving back to the community, Kowalczyk is actively involved in United Way where she is currently serving on the Women United board and the United Way of Metropolitan Chicago Campaign Cabinet. While at KPMG, Kowalczyk led the Chicago office’s charitable campaign, helping to raise over $7.8 million.
Sara is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a bachelor’s degree in business economics with an accounting minor from the University of California Los Angeles.
